On a Mission Espresso Updates: 2023-Q4

We are filled with a profound sense of purpose and excitement regarding a vision that has the potential to transform lives in Palmela, Portugal.

Our church plant, Cidade Colina, is inspired by the words of Matthew 5:13-16, which calls us to be the salt and light of the world. This mission is not just a task; it’s a divine calling that transcends borders and cultures. We are called to impact lives, shine God’s love, and be a source of hope for the people of Palmela and ultimately direct others to give glory to our Heavenly Father.

We are reaching out to our prayer and financial partners to help with a mission-critical endeavor. We have a unique opportunity to secure a physical space that will serve as our church home. This space will be a sanctuary for worship, a hub for fellowship, and a launchpad for our outreach efforts.

To turn this vision into a reality, we need your generous support. Specifically, we are asking for 12 churches or individuals to contribute a one-time gift of $800 to cover one month of rent.

Matthew 5:14-16 tells us:

“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Your contribution is not just a financial gift; it is a powerful act of letting your light shine in Palmela. It signifies your commitment to being part of a movement that will bring God’s love, grace, and truth to our community.

We earnestly request your prayers as you consider your involvement in this endeavor. We firmly believe that, together, we can achieve our goal and establish Cidade Colina as a beacon of hope and transformation in Palmela.

We hope to have the funds at the beginning of November so this also requires for everything to happen quickly. To contribute, please use the following link wearsportugal.com/legacy, or you can give via a mailed check:
