Grand Opening
Espresso Update: Q4—2024
Ministry Highlights
We are so grateful for your prayers and financial support. Your faithfulness encourages us, and we want to remind you that our successes are yours too! These victories belong not only to us but also to our Brazilian and Portuguese partners in ministry here in Portugal.
Because we have communion with Jesus Christ, and our partners also share that communion, we are united together. This growing network of believers enables and promotes evangelism and spiritual growth. No one connection can claim the success—we claim it together with Christ!
Let us share two significant successes with you:
Grand Opening
From November 21–23, we hosted our official opening. On the busiest day, 40 people attended, and across the week, we had about 60 people represented. Our guests included neighbors, past connections, Portuguese pastors and congregants, Brazilians, and Africans. Throughout the week, Christ was proclaimed!
Please pray for “Paul”, a man who came in off the street. He visited twice briefly but hasn’t returned. Pray that God would bring him back and work in his heart.
Salvation Testimonies
Our ministry began with English lessons, which led us to meet new individuals. Although those lessons had to stop due to scheduling conflicts, one connection led to another. Recently, during our Brazilian partners’ Bible study, a couple—”Peter” and “Pamela”—made professions of salvation. We praise God for His increase!
Pray for “Peter” and “Pamela”, that they would show evidence of salvation and grow in their faith.
Personal Updates
On a personal note, Michelle recently had a follow-up for a minor procedure she had several months ago. Unfortunately, it was not as successful as hoped, and her doctors are now recommending a hysterectomy. There will be some expenses involved, and we are still working to understand the financial impact. Additionally, we would love to connect with a stateside OBGYN who could offer advice. If that’s you, please message us.
Karis has also faced health challenges in recent years, which are now affecting her emotionally. She has started meeting with a Christian counselor, which has been a blessing, though it costs $100–$200 per month.
We don’t want to manipulate you all with spiritual language, but we do ask that you pray for these needs and consider whether God may be leading you to help with a one-time gift or join our financial support team.
Reminder
Our mission agency, Global Faith, has a new physical address. Please use the following address for donations by check:
P.O. Box 1088 | Hixson, TN 37343-9998
We were roughly $250/mo short. This could be made up with a few extra partners.
