What’s the craziest thing you have ever done? For The Wears Family, the past year has been a crazy, yet exciting transition. David left a fabulous job of nearly 10 years to work as a missionary intern at our sending church, Calvary Baptist, in Charlotte, MI. While the past year has been exciting, the past few months have been even more exciting for us. In June David was ordained! It was such an encouragement to us to see several of the pastors in our area gather together for the ordination council. The time of questioning was even a blessing as we felt God was confirming our desire to go to Portugal. It was a special time for us and we are excited and encouraged as we move forward! The last Sunday in July marked our first service on deputation. Since then we have been privileged to be in several other churches. We have enjoyed meeting new people and have even been able to reconnect with some friends that we haven’t seen in a while. We have been encouraged by generous acts of kindness along the way and by your prayers. Please pray with us that we would be able to schedule more meetings. We have several churches lined up but we have room for more!
